Mark Griffiths, MBA, PhD
Mark Griffiths is the Jack R Anderson Professor of Finance at Miami University of Ohio. Prior to joining the faculty of Thunderbird, Dr. Griffiths was an Associate Professor of Finance at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Dr. Griffiths has also served as an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Lecturer in Finance at Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada. Dr. Griffiths’ teaching and consulting interests focus on the financial management of the firm, with a specific interest in capital investment. He was carried out extensive research in stock market micro-structure focusing on how securities’ prices are affected by the rules and regulations of different trading environments. He is also interested in the effect Federal Reserve Regulations have on short-term money market instruments and has been a consultant to a number of large North American banks.
Mark holds a BA in French from the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada; a BA (Administration) in Accounting from York University in Toronto, Canada; a MBA in Finance from York University; a MA in Economics from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Canada; and a PhD in Finance from the University of Western Ontario.
